Our School
Welcome to the 22-23 school year. Going into my second year as principal at Madrone, I am looking forward to building on last year's work towards increasing parent engagement, supporting project based learning and making sure that Madrone students have a clear path towards success both at Madrone and after graduation.
I’ve been an educator for nearly a decade, serving a variety of diverse communities. I began my career in education as a resource specialist teacher at El Cerrito High School. I’ve held a number of school administrator roles in San Leandro Unified School District, most recently as a high school assistant principal. I pursued higher education at the University of California, Berkeley, where I received two Master's degrees in education and completed the Principal Leadership Institute. Go Bears!
My past experiences have taught me that when you give students clear expectations while nurturing positive relationships, you can build a highly functional and successful learning environment. I also know that regardless of any work we can get done here at Madrone, we need parents and families as partners in this process. Our door is always open, feel free to call or stop by if you have any questions or concerns. We want all students and families to feel welcome and heard here at Madrone. I look forward to partnering with you to support your students' success.
