Welcome Sisk Knights!
My name is Katie Cantu and I am honored to be the Principal of Sisk Elementary School! Sisk Elementary is a caring community committed to providing students with a safe, welcoming learning environment. We have an amazing staff who are extremely dedicated to fostering a love for learning and motivating all students to do their personal best. Our campus has experienced some changes over the past year, but construction is complete and students are enjoying our new library, music room and shade structure!
Sisk provides students with many rich learning opportunities, including PE, Art, Music, and STEAM activities. We have a new counselor this school year, Stacy Guerra, who will be providing classroom guidance lessons to all classes focusing on the 12 Tools from the Toolbox Project. We are also reviving our PBIS model (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)--we teach students our behavior expectations and reward students for demonstrating the “3 Rs” (Respectful, Responsible, and Ready). Students will earn points that they can use at our new School Store through the PBIS Rewards online program! We also have an active Parent Teacher Group (PTG) who support our students’ education by helping with enriching field trips and assemblies. All parents, guardians and caregivers are welcome to participate in our PTG!
