Why is Fake News So Effective?
This lesson frames the controversial issues of fake news and trust in the media.
In addition to learning more about how fake news has evolved over the years, students can learn strategies for improving their media literacy and will be able to identify both credible and non-credible news sources.

In this lesson, students can learn what implicit bias is, how it influences their thinking, and how its impact can be minimized. Students can also explore the extent to which society (and they themselves) may discriminate based on factors they’re not even aware of, implicit biases.

The Economic Impact of a Changing Middle Class
Students analyze data to better understand America’s middle class, its role in the economy, and its impact on economic growth. In this lesson, students use digital media, tables and graphs created from Pew Research Center and government data to examine household income and spending trends and the widening wealth gap between the upper and lower income tiers.
