Hoary Marmot

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Marmota_caligata_(Hoary_Marmot).jpg

I wonder if your Hoary Marmot photo is actually of a Vancouver Island Marmot, Marmota vancouverensis? It does have a "hoary" back cape, but on the other hand it's really dark with distinct white chest markings. It's the only marmot on Vancouver Island, so if you took the photo there that would be definitive.

I took this picture in Mount Rainier National Park, about here: https://maps.google.ru/maps?oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari&q=46°+47'+53%22+N++121°+44'+7%22+W&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x5490d30602345719:0x966a0aafc2dfdd24,%2B46°+47'+49.16%22,+-121°+44'+9.10%22&gl=ru&ei=lwowUcDCNerhiwLKw4CgCg&ved=0CC0Q8gEwAASteven P. Dear Senapa,
Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2013, and for sharing your pictures with the whole world! We would like to ask again a few minutes of your time.
