Dear Parents/Guardians: 

As we face these difficult economic times, many families are in need of medical care without having the benefit of health insurance. This is especially difficult when our students are absent and district policy requires a doctor’s note to confirm a student’s illness. Several options are available to our residents. Locally, there are two centers that offer medical care at low or no cost to families.  

These centers include the Eric B. Chandler Health Center located at 277 Georges Road, New Brunswick, NJ. The telephone number for this center is 732-235-6700.  The Neighborhood Health Services Corporation is also available to us and is located at 1700-58 Myrtle Avenue, Plainfield, NJ. The telephone for this center is 908-753-6401. 

In addition, NJ FamilyCare offers health care coverage for uninsured children and low-income parents. Information and applications for this program are available at www.njfamilycare.org or by calling 1-800-701-0710.
