SAIL Program (Students Achieving Independent Life Skills) 18-21 Year Olds
The SAIL Program is a life skills program for autistic, developmentally and cognitively impaired students from ages 18-21. The SAIL Program is designed to introduce students with disabilities to workplace skills while beginning the process of transitioning to adult life. Students develop workplace preparedness and functional life skills through activities inside and outside the classroom. Students are exposed to a variety of occupations via structured learning experiences and community based instruction. Career inventories and formative assessments are utilized to determine areas of interest and strengths to choose appropriate work study placements.
