NOTING: Sam Rayburn High's second yearbook, featuring modern-art designs for the cover and the section pages... Highlights include full-page portraits of the Bluebonnet Belles and a pictorial on "Twirp Week," a new tradition for which girls asked boys on dates... Homecoming was observed amid a dramatic backdrop. The Texans beat visiting Brazosport 17-3 in a first-place showdown that night, but lost the crown with a 14-0 setback to Pasadena the following week... The Senior Prom was held at the Sylvan Beach Pavilion. "Moon River" was selected as the class song. Barbara Wilson, the final senior to graduate, is featured in a full-page photo receiving her diploma from Superintendent George Thompson.
