PARENTING MATTERS

Research shows that when families are involved, students perform better in school… and beyond. When parents are involved in their child’s education, both they and their child are likely to benefit. Parent participation in their children's schooling has positive impacts:

• increased self-esteem
• improved academic achievement
• improved parent-child relationships
• enhanced positive attitudes towards school
• increased understanding of the schooling process
