Princess T, Princess Pham and Princess Greedy Granny of the popular children’s YouTube channel, Princess ToyReview, recently returned to Burnett Elementary for the campus’s second annual Winterfest.
An estimated 1,000 people attended the festival this year, where every child received a wrapped present and families were treated to fun, carnival games, food and photos with Santa.
In addition to handing out wrapped gifts, all donated by the YouTube celebrities, large items and toys were given away through raffles every thirty minutes.
On Princess ToysReview, the YouTube stars engage in activities including toy reviews, story time, challenges, scavenger hunts, egg surprises and vlogs all centered on having fun while learning.
Princess T, who grew up in the Pasadena ISD area and attended Burnett, Thompson and Dobie, said that the Southbelt community holds a special place in her heart.
“This will always be my school. Both my siblings and I went here and we grew up in this community,” said Princess T. “We are excited to be here again and to see the excitement on the faces of the kids. It’s very heartwarming.”
Principal Jae Lee said that the festival provides opportunities for the community to come together and grow stronger as a family.
“We as a community are just so thankful to Princess T, Princess Pham and Princess Greedy Granny for their generosity,” said Lee. “We are taking this opportunity as a Burnett family to teach our students about being thankful and the value of giving back.”
Princess T added, “My one quote that I live by is, ‘If you can be anything, be kind.’ You don’t have to do a grand gesture like this, but just little acts of kindness go a long way because you never know what others may be going through.”
