Kruse Elementary science and technology teacher Kristopher Petree has truly embraced the #TeachersCan mentality, taking support for students to a higher level.
Petree organized Chromebooks for every teacher and instructional paraprofessional at Kruse so they could maintain contact with their co-workers and students during this unprecedented stay-at-home order. Petree also made sure that students enrolled in Personalized Learning classrooms secured Chromebooks in order to continue their educational path with no interruptions.
Through Petree’s leadership and care, he helped to put devices into the hands of any student who needed them and assisted in troubleshooting issues that any Kruse community members experienced throughout the distance learning transition period. Day or night, phone or email, Petree assisted throughout the past couple of months to provide technology assistance.
Petree has gone on to spend countless hours recording a variety of YouTube videos to assist staff, students and parents at Kruse with troubleshooting and applications needed for their lessons at home. He is currently working on his eighth YouTube video that he will share with not only Kruse, but with the entire Pasadena ISD school district.
