Officer M. Lenting joined the P.I.S.D. P.D. on 06-16-04. He received his Basic Peace Officer Certification from Alvin Community College and brings experience from the commercial world. Officer Lenting was named the Officer of the Year for 2013.
Officer R. Ontiveros joined the Department on 11-8-10. Officer Ontiveros attended the University of Houston's Downtown Police Academy. After completing the academy Officer Ontiveros was sworn to service with the La Marque Police Department where he completed Basic S.W.A.T. training through Texas Tactical Police Officer Association. Officer Ontiveros also worked with Galveston Police Department as a patrol officer. Between his service assignments as a police officer, Officer Ontiveros worked in the private sector as a security officer for NASA's Johnson Space Center.
Officer K. Wilson joined the Department on 11-16-10. He received his Basic Peace Officer certification from the University of Houston in October 2010. He previously served with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department as a detentions officer. Recently, Officer Wilson has been certified in the Collection and Preservation of Evidence through Harris County Sheriff's Office. Officer Wilson is also a member of the department's Honor Guard.
Officer J. Barrera returned to the Department on 5-18-12. Officer Barrera has more than 15 years of experience in law enforcement, having previously served 11 years with P.I.S.D. He is assigned to Patrol. Officer Barrera has been assigned to Gang Awareness training, bike patrol and has been actively mentored at the high school level. Currently, Officer Barrera serves on Patrol and is a member of the department's Crisis Negotiations Team. Officer Barrera holds an Advanced Peace Officer License and Advanced Certifications in Handwriting Analysis and Forged Documents.
Officer M. Spray joined the Department on 6-4-12. Officer Spray is a graduate of Alvin Community College's Police Academy. He brings over 9 years of training and experience as a Corrections Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Institutional Division. He is currently assigned to Patrol. Officer Spray is also a member of the department’s Honor Guard Team. In 2021 Officer Spray was awarded Police Officer of the Year.
Officer J. Reddell joined the Department on 5-15-13. He brings 26 years of experience from the Texas Department of Public Safety where he retired as a Sergeant for 19 years. A graduate of the State Police Academy, Officer Reddell is also a T.C.O.L.E. instructor and a Firearms Instructor and holds a Master Peace Officer License.
Officer M. Rodriguez joined the Department on 8-1-13 and is currently assigned to patrol. He previously served in the Harris County Sheriff Department for 8 years and with Harris County Constable Precinct 6 for 1 year. In 2016 Officer Rodriguez was named the department's Officer of the Year. Officer Rodriguez is also a member of the department's Honor Guard Team.
Officer J. LaLonde joined the Department on 8-19-13. He brings 29 years of experience from the Houston Police Department assigned to both traffic and juvenile divisions. Officer LaLonde holds a Master Peace Officers License through the state of Texas.
Officer A. Guajardo joined the Department in 2015. Formerly with P.I.S.D.'s Transportation Department as a mechanic, Officer Guajardo is a graduate of the University of Houston's Police Academy. Officer Guajardo is currently assigned to patrol.
Officer B. Waterman joined the Department in November 2015. Officer Waterman is a graduate of the University of Houston's Police Academy. Before the academy, Officer Waterman was employed by Baytown Police Department where she started as a corrections officer and completed her service in Baytown as an Administrative Assistant.
Officer A. Murphy rejoined the Department in March of 2016. Officer Murphy began her law enforcement career as a court clerk. After graduating from the Harris County Sheriff's Office Police Academy, Murphy was sworn in as a Deputy at Harris County Precinct 1. While at Precinct 1, Officer Murphy was assigned to Juveniles Division, Mental Health Division, and Vice. Upon her return to the P.I.S.D. P.D., Officer Murphy has been assigned to the Investigations and department's Crisis Negotiations Team. Officer Murphy holds a Master’s Peace Officer License, a T.C.O.L.E. Instructor Certification, and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia College. Officer Murphy also acts as the department's Crime Victim's Liaison.
Officer J. Cruz joined the Department on May 18, 2017. Officer Cruz comes to our department after working 3 years of experience in the District's Technical Services department. In 2016 Officer Cruz attended the University of Houston's Downtown Police Academy and is a graduate of Sam Rayburn High School Class 2008.
Officer K. Jackson joined the Pasadena I.S.D. Police Department on 10/08/2018. Officer Jackson brings to the department 25 years of experience from the Brenham Police Department, where he retired at the rank of Sergeant. Officer Jackson’s supervisory experience coupled with his experience in such areas as Patrol, Narcotics & Criminal Investigation, Public Information, Community Liaison, School Resource Division, and SWAT will assist the department’s team efforts in providing a safe environment for all students and staff in the Pasadena Independent School District. Officer Jackson possesses a Master Peace Officer License, T.C.O.L.E. Police Instructor License, and is a certified Field Training Officer.
Officer S. Wilson joined the Department on 11-18-13. He graduated from the Houston Community College Police Academy and is currently assigned to Patrol. Officer Wilson is also an A.L.I.C.E. instructor and one of the department's Defensive Tactics instructors with over twenty years in the private sector with photography, martial arts instruction, and private security for concert events.
Officer J. Pedraza joined the Department on 2-24-14 He graduated from the Houston Community College Police Academy and is currently assigned to Patrol and the department’s Crisis Negotiations Team. Officer Pedraza previously served with the Harris County Constable Precinct 6 and Precinct 2 Offices for 10 years, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant. While at Precinct 6, Officer Pedraza served as a firearms instructor and was a member of the Parole Task Force. Officer Pedraza has been actively involved in the department's Gang Awareness training for district staff members.
Officer J. Garza joined the Pasadena I.S.D. Police Department March 3rd, 2021. Officer Garza comes to the department after 35 years with Harris County Sheriff's Office, serving dual licenses as a Jailer and Deputy. Officer Garza was an FTO for the County and patrolled District 3.
Officer Al. Mendoza graduated from Galena Park High School in 2009. After High School, Mendoza volunteered for service in the Texas National Guard. Mendoza returned to school by attending Houston Community College to attend their Basic Police Officer Course to become a police officer. Graduating from the academy in December 2021, Mendoza was recruited to PISD Police before graduation and was sworn to service in January 2022. We are happy to have Officer Mendoza with the department and we are looking forward to being a part of his future growth as an officer.
Officer Ar. Mendoza graduated with the class of 2013 also from Galena Park High school. After high school Officer Mendoza began working for Jacinto City in the Public Works division. Officer Mendoza returned to school by attending Houston Community College's Basic Peace Officer Certification Course. While attending the course Officer Mendoza was recruited to the Pasadena ISD Police Department to start a career in patrol after graduation. Officer Mendoza graduated from BPOC class 21D in December 2021 and was sworn to service in January 2022. During his free time, Officer Mendoza spends time with youth soccer leagues as a team coach and mentor for players of all ages.
Officer J. Trevino joined the department in February of 2019 after graduating from the University of Houston-Downtown Academy. Jimmy is a graduate of South Houston High School Class of 2014.
Officer J. Ponce is a graduate of Sam Rayburn High School class of 2014. Officer Ponce work in sales until he was hired by Pasadena ISD and was the first cadet to be sponsored for a police academy by the department in August of 2021. Officer Ponce attended and graduated from Houston Community College's Basic Peace Officer Course to become a Police Officer in 2022. Officer Ponce is assigned to Patrol.
Officer J. Cano graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 2012 and began working for San Jacinto College. Officer Cano attended and graduated from the College of the Mainland Basic Peace Officer academy in 2015. Officer Cano started her Law Enforcement Career with Pasadena ISD Police Department in December 2015, where she was able to serve her community as a School Resource Police Officer for 2 years. Officer Cano left the Pasadena ISD Police Department in 2017 for an opportunity to become an Arson Investigator for the Pasadena Fire Marshal’s office. During her tenure as a Deputy Fire Marshal Cano conducted fire and arson investigations, handled environmental crimes, and became a Field Training Officer for the agency. Officer Cano is certified through the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement as a Peace Officer and is also certified as a Fire Inspector, Arson Investigator, Plans Examiner, and Fire and Life Safety Educator commissioned by the Texas Commission of Fire Protection. Officer Cano is certified as a Youth Firesetter Prevention & Intervention Specialist and licensed under the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation as a Code Enforcement Officer for the State of Texas. Officer Cano returned to the Pasadena ISD Police Department in May of 2022 where she is currently assigned to patrol. In her spare time, Officer Cano works with horses and enjoys time with her family and outdoor activities.
Officer L. Montehermoso attended and graduated from the College of the Mainland's Basic Peace Officer Academy in 2021. Before attending the police academy, Officer Montehermoso worked in school attendance at Alvin ISD.
Officer S. Martino is a graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School class of 2013 where he was a member of the marching band. After graduation, Officer Martino worked for the City of LaPorte until 2021. Officer Martino was the second officer sponsored as a cadet to attend Houston Community College's Basic Peace Officer Course. Officer Martino took his oath of office in August of 2022.
