    OES Welcome

    • Welcome to Oneonta Elementary School!  We are a K-5 elementary school located in Blount County, Alabama.  You will find dedicated teachers and staff, hard-working students, and amazing parents who support our school community.  

      Our website gives you a glimpse of daily life at OES.  You’ll see that we offer a rich educational experience that combines academic, social, and extracurricular experiences to help each child develop to his or her fullest potential.  You’ll find many ways that parents can get involved, as well as our many avenues of communication. You’ll get the chance to connect with our amazing teachers and you’ll find a school calendar and monthly newsletters to keep you on top of all that is going on at OES.

      We look forward to getting to know you and to learning how we can serve you and your family.  We thank our current parents for entrusting their children to us and we look forward to welcoming new families to Oneonta Elementary School, where we are truly “Committed to Excellence”!

    OCS Announcements

    • POSTED 2/18/2025:  The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area tonight and into tomorrow with icy road conditions predicted.  

      Oneonta City Schools students and teachers will transition to Remote Learning tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 19.

      Additionally, we will operate on a two hour delay the mornings of Thursday, Feb. 20 and Friday, Feb. 21 due to extreme temperatures.

    • REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR GUARANTEED ENERGY SAVINGS CONTRACTING SERVICES:   

      Notice posted:  January 28, 2025.

      Request for qualifications for guaranteed energy savings contracting services has been initiated by Oneonta City Schools.  Proposals are due on or before 3:00 pm, February 11, 2025.
