Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) Program (Character Education) - School personnel give gold slips to students in order to encourage and reward students for making appropriate choices and for performing good deeds. Gold slip drawings are held during our SPIRIT monthly assemblies. In addition, we recognize students for good behavior on the bus, in the cafeteria during the morning, in special area classes and for having the cleanest classroom.
Word of the Month (Character Education) - School Counselor focuses on Word of the Month in the classroom setting and encourages students and school personnel to be active in modeling appropriate Word of the Month behaviors and deeds.
Student Citizen of the Month (Character Education) - Students are nominated by classroom teachers for the following: attitude/behavior, service to school, outside activities, academic achievement, maximizing his/her potential, and citizenship/peer relationships. The student of the month receives a certificate and their picture is posted on the school bulletin board during the month.
