About Me
-
My name is Sherry Michaud, and I have twenty and a half years of classroom experience, teaching every grade level 6-12 with the exception of 7th grade ELA. I have taught regents-level courses as an ELA teacher as well as AIS courses as a reading teacher. I've also worked for an independent early intervention and preschool agency, so I have a broad range of experience when it comes to teaching.
Every year, I strive to learn more about my students' personal lives and interests, and I often get questions from students about my own. So here's a little bit about me: Besides being a dedicated educator, I am the mother of three--two college-aged daughters, Carissa and Cayley, and a three-year old son, Finnegan. My husband and I enjoy traveling, kayaking, and eating--yes, we love food! I also love running--I have ten half marathons under my belt and one day hope to complete a full marathon--and, of course, my number one passion is reading! A few of my favorite books are To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, The Thirteenth Tale, The Poisonwood Bible, and The Good Earth.
