My name is Luisa Palacio and I am the English as a Second Language teacher for Northampton County Schools (K-12). I am originally from Colombia and I moved to the United States 15 years ago to teach both, Spanish and ESL. I have been a teacher for 19 years. I got my Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages: English and French and my Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. 

I enjoy dancing, coffee, candy, working out, teaching and learning languages. I love my language and culture, so I enjoy sharing that with my students and colleagues. I am passionate about teaching English Learners I guess because I have been on both sides.  I believe in the power of bilingualism and I advocate for English Learners because I believe everyone can learn given the right strategies.
