HI! I'M VENASSA PERSON,

TEACHING is an absolute passion of mine! I am excited about working with you and your CHILD! It's going to be an awesome year, full of fun, LEARNING, and lots of ADVENTURES and I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little bit about me. I am married to my wonderful husband, Keith. Together we have 3 boys, ages 27, 21, and 10. Yes, the 10-year old takes up all of my time. Some of my hobbies are fishing, taking trips, and most of all spending time with my family. I am a native of Halifax (born and raised) and graduated from Northwest Halifax High School. I am the middle sibling of 3 girls. I currently reside in Jackson, NC, where I have lived for 21 years.

This will be my 3rd year teaching kindergarten at Willis Hare Elementary School. Before that, I taught Pre-K regular/EC for 14 years, all years being served in the Northampton County School System. I absolutely love teaching. It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. I attempt to teach with a passion so that my students will develop a desire to become life-long learners. My educational background includes a Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a teacher's license in Birth-through Kindergarten, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, followed by other Professional Development certifications.
