Open Enrollment
MLSD High School Choices 2024-25 School Year
FOR CURRENT 8th - 11th GRADERS ONLY
Students in the Moses Lake School District have three choices for high school. Most students have already begun scheduling and registration for the 2024-25 school year and do not need to complete this form, if they registered with their school of choice. This process if for:
- Students in grade 8 who have not selected a high school or would like to change their mind and request something different. Incoming freshmen who do not declare a school preference will be automatically enrolled at Moses Lake High School.
- Students in grades 9–11 who want to attend a high school different from their current school. (Students will remain enrolled at their current school unless they indicate a different preference).
Timeline for making a request to attend a different high school:
- March 1-29: Open Enrollment - Closed. Those who filled out the Request Form in March will be notified of acceptance or denial by May 1st.
- April 1-30: Semi-Open Enrollment - Closed. Those who fill out the Request Form in April will most likely have a decision by the end of May.
- May 1st & beyond: High School In-district Transfer Request Process - Those who fill out a request in this time period will not be notified of a final decision until after new student registration takes place in August.
