This is Kate's eighth year teaching Kindergarten at Strawberry Point.

After her two-year stint teaching in a Bilingual Bi-cultural school in Harlem, she left New York City to move to San Francisco in 1997. She spent 12 years teaching in a Charter School in Redwood City, and has taught first, second, and third grades, as well as combination and bilingual classes.  She has an MS in Early Literacy and Reading and an MA in Elementary Education. Kate enjoys playing the piano, skiing, knitting, cooking and traveling.  She loves Robert Munsch books and can’t wait to read these books to her class. Kate and her family live in Pacifica. Her son, Lukas, is a Junior at Tam High School.
