Art

Why is Art important?

The visual arts provide opportunities to enhance critical thinking skills and challenge students to analyze, evaluate and create. Using rigor and relevance, students in the visual arts will understand concepts and develop an identity through their artwork, by experimenting with new ideas, learning from mistakes, and envisioning solutions to complex problems. These skills are also valued by employers, as the 21st century job market continues to develop, creativity will always be a highly sought after skill.

"My husband and I believe strongly that arts education is essential for building innovative thinkers who will be our nation's leaders for tomorrow.
