New Proof of Residency Required for K-11 Students ->April

The state requires all school districts to have a valid Proof of Residency on file for each student and our district is preparing for an expected audit of our data.

  • In preparation for a state audit, MVCSC is requesting parents/guardians of students in kindergarten through grade 11 to upload a new, valid Proof of Residency in Skyward Family Access during April.
  • This is required for ALL K-11 students, including out-of-district applicants, to be able to attend a Mt. Vernon school in 2024-2025. (All Out-of-Disctrict/Transfer students’ applications will be marked tentative until an acceptance letter is received in response to applying during one of the two application windows.
  • Multiple Children: Parents/guardians will need to upload Proof of Residency once for each child; if a parent/guardian has three children, they will need to upload the Proof of Residency document (can be the same document) three times in their Family Access account.
  • If you want assistance with uploading the documents, bring them into your school front office or attend one of these two events where Spanish translators will be in attendance.
