Mrs. Smith has a B.S. in biology and chemistry and trained as a medical technologist. She worked as a med tech for many years in both clinical and research settings in Birmingham, Syracuse, NY, and Philadelphia, PA. She holds a M.A.E. in secondary science from UAB and was National Board Certified in 2017 and recertified in 2022. The 2023-2024 school year will be her 15th year at MBJH.

Mrs. Smith looks forward to getting to know her students.  Over the course of the school year, she is always amazed by how much they grow and develop as young adults. She considers it a privilege to be a part of their growth!
