I grew up in Orlando, Florida, and attended Auburn University where I majored in biology with minors in chemistry and physics. I earned my MA at UAB in secondary science education, and became a National Board Certified teacher in 2009.

 

This year is my 18th year at the junior high. I have taught physical science, and currently teach regular biology. I love this subject which teaches about how intricately the living world is designed and how organisms interact for good and for bad. I hope that each of my students can become as fascinated with the living world as I am.
