Mrs. Lancaster is the counselor for the Class of 2028 (current 8th graders).  She has been employed with MBS since 2005.  

Prior to coming to the Junior High, she worked in a variety of community counseling agencies, including an adolescent drug rehabilitation program, an adolescent residential program, grief counseling agencies and mental health facilities.

Mrs. Lancaster is a graduate of The University of Alabama where she obtained her B.S. in Human Environmental Sciences.  She received her Master's degree in Agency Counseling from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

In addition, Mrs. Lancaster is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling.  She is a member of the Alabama Counseling Association, and the Alabama School Counselor Association.  Since 2016, she has served on both Executive Councils and Governing Boards for ALCA and ALSCA.  Mrs. Lancaster has specialty training in stress and anxiety management, grief support and executive functioning skills.

Mrs. Lancaster has lived in the Birmingham area most of her life.  She is married with one son.
