Junior Civitan Club is an international service organization based out of Birmingham, Alabama.  Junior Civitan club is a club dedicated to helping the community wherever it needs it most. Members and officers will decide what issues in the community need help and will plan a variety of events and fundraisers to aid the cause, and these students will be growing as leaders with every project they organize. Civitan is unique among other service organizations in its focus on a group atmosphere and targeted service, and as a club with local roots both in the work we do and the body which governs us.

 

Club Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.  The meetings are held in the Glass Classroom.   

 

Mission Statement: Civitan club aims to provide fun way for Mountain Brook students to come together to make positive change on the issues in our community that mean most to them while making positive changes to themselves.

Goals: 

·         Locate problems in the community which need help

·         Organize projects and events in order to help a cause chosen by the club members

·         Make a meaningful and measurable impact on the community

·         Provide a fun, group focused atmosphere for all Civitan members

·         Further the leadership ability of Civitan members
