April 2024 Breakfast/Lunch Menu
*** Per the Ohio Dept of Education, the 2023-2024 Ohio biennial budget includes funding to cover the cost of meals for families that qualify for reduced-price meals. This means if you qualify for reduced-price meals, they will be FREE (breakfast and lunch) beginning this school year. ***
NEW THIS YEAR! Students in grades 4-6 will be have an option B at lunch. They may choose the item listed on the menu OR PB& J uncrustable plus a cheese stick. We do have an a-la-carte/snack form listed below you may use if you do not want your child purchasing extra items. Free and reduced meal applications are now available ONLINE. New this year - any family qualifying for reduced-price meals will receive FREE meals (due to the new State of Ohio’s biennial budget covering costs for reduced meals). Families wishing to see if they qualify for free or reduced meals need to fill out the form by October 10th. Please go to www.payschoolscentral.com which is the same website you use to add money to a student’s lunch account and check balances. The application process is available in English and Spanish. If you have any questions about the application, please visit the school website at www.mississinawa.k12.oh.us, click on "District Life, "Food Services" then click on “Free/Reduced Meal App Help”. Once the application is complete online, you will have an immediate answer to know if your child(ren) qualify for free or reduced-priced meals. Only one application per family is needed. This process has been easy-to-use quicker and accessible anytime for families to complete at their convenience.
Haven’t used the PaySchools site before? No worries! You will just need to register as a new user. Simply visit www.payschoolscentral.com, click the “register” box and input your information. Don’t forget to write down the password you choose (we can’t access those at school). Once you are registered, you will enter each child’s name and their student id # (this also serves as their lunch acct #).
Breakfast is served daily between 7:30 – 8:00 am. All your child needs to do is come to the cafeteria to get a healthy breakfast! Please encourage your child to eat a tasty breakfast at school and help them get a good start to a day of learning! We have made big improvements to our menu items with more students eating school meals!
We look forward to seeing the students back at school on Wednesday, August 30th! Have a great school year!
Thanks,
Amanda Grow - District Cafeteria Manager
