Trustees sworn in, officers elected

The Midlothian ISD Board of Trustees welcomed one new member and two returning members at its May 20 meeting.

Newly elected trustee Ryan Timm, Place 3, took the oath of office to officially begin his three-year term on the board. Two returning trustees were also sworn in. Richard Pena, Place 1, will begin his second term, and Gary Vineyard, Place 2, will begin his third term. The first order of business for the MISD Board of Trustees was the election of officers. The trustees elected Gary Vineyard as President, Tami Tobey as Vice President, and Jessica Ward as Secretary.

Trustees and Administration presented Eduardo Gonzalez with a trophy and thanked him for his service to the students and teachers of Midlothian ISD from May 2021 to May 2024. During his tenure, Mr. Gonzalez served as Board Secretary and was a member of the school board's Curriculum and Instruction subcommittee.
