Students spread holiday cheer

Students spread holiday cheer

MISD students organized and participated in dozens of service projects this fall. Every MISD school partners with groups like Manna House each November and December to raise money, collect food and adopt Angel Tree recipients in support of the local non-profits efforts to take care of families in our MISD community.

Here are just a few more examples of how our students are learning the impact they can make in the world through service to others.

WGMS girls athletics service project 2023

WGMS girls athletics
This year, the Walnut Grove girls athletic program adopted an Angel Tree family for Christmas. The students did a tremendous job of donating gifts, gift cards and items to benefit the Angel Tree family. The girls coaches are very proud of them and the way they poured out their hearts to this family, demonstrating that the truly understand that it is better to give than receive.
