M'Kale Kennedy named Walnut Grove Middle School Assistant Principal

We are MISD Proud to share that Walnut Grove Middle School 8th grade ELAR and Lead ESL educator M'kale Kennedy has been named the new Assistant Principal at WGMS. She replaces Natalie Dennington who is retiring from education after 34 years of service, 32 of which have been spent in MISD.

"I am excited to welcome M’kale Kennedy as the newest member of our administrative team as assistant principal," said WGMS Principal Carly Woolery. "Mrs. Kennedy’s 18 years of experience in education and her dedication to student success will make a significant impact on WGMS. Mrs. Kennedy’s passion for education and her leadership skills will continue our WGMS mission to love and educate our students."

Kennedy joined Midlothian ISD in 2016 as a teacher at WGMS, where she was named the 2022-23 Secondary District Teacher of the Year. She has 18 years of experience as a classroom teacher. Prior to joining the MISD family, Kennedy taught in Red Oak, Grand Prairie, and Blue Ridge ISDs.
