MISD welcomes Commander Medina, new Director of Safety and Security

Midlothian ISD welcomes Midlothian Police Department Commander Jason Medina to MISD. Beginning June 1, he will officially step into the role of MISD Director of Safety and Security, replacing Commander Tim Hicks, who is transitioning to a new role within the MPD as Professional Standards Commander. We thank Commander Hicks for his five years of service to MISD and know he will continue to do great things for the community of Midlothian in his new endeavor.

Commander Medina joined the Midlothian Police Department in 2013. He has been recognized as a leader by his peers throughout his career. Medina was promoted to Corporal in 2017 and subsequently achieved the rank of Sergeant in 2020 and Commander in 2023. He holds a Master Peace Officer’s certification from the State of Texas and has been nominated for - and received - the Department’s Officer of the Quarter Award on several occasions.
