Mrs. Kimmy Marlett
Hello! I'm delighted to introduce myself as Kimmy Marlett, the new K-5 Inclusion Teacher at Madison Elementary this year. Teaching has always been my passion, and I'm thrilled to bring my experience and enthusiasm to this role. I obtained my Bachelor's degree and Teaching Credential from California State University, and later pursued my Masters degree at Point Loma Nazarene University.
For the past 14 years, I had the honor of serving my community in California as both a teacher and academic leader. Additionally, I spent my first two years in Alabama as an Instructional Partner, further expanding my expertise in supporting students and educators. Throughout my career, I have focused on elementary general and special education, working closely with all stakeholders.
In 2021, my husband Mark, our son Nick, and I made the decision to relocate to Alabama to be closer to family. It's been an exciting transition, and we're gradually settling into our new surroundings with our 5 dogs. When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, watching baseball games, traveling to new places, indulging in reading, and occasionally treating myself to some shopping.
Joining the Madison Elementary community fills me with anticipation and eagerness. I am looking forward to a fantastic year, collaborating with my colleagues and making a positive impact on the students' educational journey. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
