Mrs. Sadie Sturdivant
Hi!
My name is Sadie Sturdivant, and I am thrilled to be the school counselor here at Columbia Elementary School! I am originally from Montgomery, AL, and I attended college at Auburn University where I double majored in Psychology and Spanish. After college, I married my high school sweetheart, and we moved to Madison. I earned my master's degree in School Counseling at the University of North Alabama and loved my time interning in the Madison City Schools.
I have a passion for connecting with students and helping them excel in their personal, academic, and career development. One of my goals is for every student to have a trusting relationship with at least one caring adult at the school! It is a true honor and joy to serve the students and families at CES.
School Counseling Mission: The mission of the Columbia Elementary comprehensive counseling program is to empower all students to learn, excel, lead, grow, innovate, and compete globally by providing a safe environment, advocating for each student, offering excellent instruction, and promoting positive attitudes through academic, personal, and career development.
School Counseling Vision: As a result of the comprehensive school counseling program, students at Columbia Elementary School will possess the academic proficiencies to be steadfast learners, the personal development skills to be global leaders, and the college and career readiness competencies to successfully contribute to society so that they can reach their highest potential.
2024-2025 Grade Levels: K, 2nd, 4th
With joy,
Sadie
