• Application Information

    DUE NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2024.

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    • When the application window opens, you can complete the application by clicking on the link below or by scanning the QR code.
    • Late applications will not be accepted, and students must reapply in the next school year. 
    • Applications that are incomplete will not be considered for membership.
    • New members will be notified by EMAIL of their acceptance a week after the application window. This gives Mrs. Paine time to request transcripts and review applications.
    • Inductions will be held in the spring of 2024 with the other honor societies provided you meet the requirements during the school year.
    • Once notified, you may pay a one-time fee of $40 on the JCHS website. This includes local and national fees as well as a cord for graduation. Mrs. Paine will hold the cord until your senior year. 

    REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP:

    • Complete the online application (linked below).

    • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

    • Must have consecutively completed at least two (2) Advanced English courses.

    • Must have an A or A- (90-100%) average in current and previous two (2) Advanced English courses.

    •  Must maintain an A or B average in future Advanced English classes.

    • Complete 5 NEHS service hours or service project participation (this includes scholarship contests through NEHS and guest speakers)

    • Attend meetings. These take place during Refuel in A211. Dates are posted on our club website and on Groupme. You are permitted 1 excused absence. 

    • Attend the spring induction.

    • After acceptance, pay a one-time $40 induction fee which covers both local and national fees and a cord.
