Application Information
DUE NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2024.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- When the application window opens, you can complete the application by clicking on the link below or by scanning the QR code.
- Late applications will not be accepted, and students must reapply in the next school year.
- Applications that are incomplete will not be considered for membership.
- New members will be notified by EMAIL of their acceptance a week after the application window. This gives Mrs. Paine time to request transcripts and review applications.
- Inductions will be held in the spring of 2024 with the other honor societies provided you meet the requirements during the school year.
- Once notified, you may pay a one-time fee of $40 on the JCHS website. This includes local and national fees as well as a cord for graduation. Mrs. Paine will hold the cord until your senior year.
REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP:

Complete the online application (linked below).

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

Must have consecutively completed at least two (2) Advanced English courses.

Must have an A or A- (90-100%) average in current and previous two (2) Advanced English courses.

Must maintain an A or B average in future Advanced English classes.

Complete 5 NEHS service hours or service project participation (this includes scholarship contests through NEHS and guest speakers)

Attend meetings. These take place during Refuel in A211. Dates are posted on our club website and on Groupme. You are permitted 1 excused absence.

Attend the spring induction.

After acceptance, pay a one-time $40 induction fee which covers both local and national fees and a cord.
