HAPPENINGS AT  Harris BROOK

HBES 5th GRADERS MADDIE HARDICK AND CALVIN IWASINSKI RECEIVE THE COVETED 2023 GUS ADAMOPOULOS AWARD

We are proud to share the 2023 Gus Adamopoulos Award Recipients- HBES 5th-grade students Maddie Hardick and Calvin Iwaninski.  Their selection was based on the positive qualities and characteristics that were innate to Gus- who passed away due to a tragic boating accident in August 2010, the summer before beginning 5th grade- such as respecting everyone, making sure things are fair for everyone, and leaving no one out. Congratulations!

HBES EARNS TWO 1ST PLACE TROPHIES AT MUSIC IN THE PARKS 2023

Our HBES 5th Grade Musicians did it again, and we are soooo proud!

On June 3rd, the HBES 5th Grade Band and Chorus student musicians performed at the 2023 Music in the Parks Competition, bringing home two 1st place trophies in their divisions. Following their award-winning performances in Holyoke, they enjoyed a day of fun at Six Flags New England.

HBES Music teachers Meghan Provost and Andrew Armstrong are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of each band and chorus member. Additional photos on the LPS FB page.#soproud #bandlife #chorus #lpspride
