About
A Wikipedia edit-a-thon is a collaborative event where people work together to improve and expand Wikipedia content, often focused on a specific theme or topic. Edit-a-thons provide an opportunity for both new and experienced editors to contribute to the encyclopedia. Edit-a-thons aim to increase the representation of diverse perspectives and topics on Wikipedia, as well as to educate participants about the editing process.

This edit-a-thon will focus on underrepresented topics in and around the Chicagoland area, connecting with students and faculty alike. This is a drop-in event with active instruction in the beginning for newbies. Come any time, grab a snack, edit a little, and make a difference! We will have experienced editors on hand to help you at all times. It's recommended to bring a laptop to edit on. The article work list can be found at our dashboard.
