a. School Improvement Plans (TSSA, School Land Trust), budget and goals
i. For Goal #3: money is being used to improve digital access and upgrade
technology for teachers. Several teachers have outdated projectors which
are being replaced with large TVs. The district is matching funds right nowfor this upgrade so we were able to access more funds for this transition.
Ipads with AppleTV are being ordered to go along with the new TVs in
order to enable the teachers to better utilize teaching tools. Some of the
TVs are being installed with fixed mounts, some with moving mounts. We
will access which work best and make adjustments as needed.b. Digital Citizenship/Safety
i. Sarah Larsen takes care of this but this year we are adding a school
safety week in conjunction with the PTA (in place of Red Ribbon Week).
STEAM night is during the planned week so a digital safety presentation
will be part of the rotation. The Halloween Parade/Dress up day will be
Friday, Oct 27 which is at the end of Safety Week. No dressing up will be
allowed on Halloween this year (which is a Tuesday)c. Safety (SNAP) - updated map
6. Comments, Questions
a. Pick up/drop off concern brought up by Amie Earl
i. Some younger students need help with seat belts/car seats and the
parents get out of the car in the pick up line to help. This is creating
back-ups.
ii. Solution: talk with parents of preschool and kindergarteners about parking
in the the parking lot and coming into the school to pick up if their child
needs help or have those parents pull to the front of the horseshoe so
they are more out of the wayMeeting adjourned at 4:40 motion to adjourn by Sam Rasmussen, 2nd by Kathy
Downs, all were in favor
Next Meeting will be held Monday, October 9th at 3:45
