School Community Council Meeting
Wednesday Mar 29, 2022
3:15pm
-
Cassie started the meeting.
-
Sarah read the minutes from the last meeting.
-
Cassie motioned to approve the minutes.
-
Stacie seconded the motion.
-
Stacie presented the SIP/Trustland’s goal.
-
Canyon’s goals are set for each grade level versus schoolwide as most schools do. This allows us to set targeted individual goals to serve more students.
-
Reading and Math goals are set by the outgoing grade level teachers for the next school year.
-
Funds will be allocated to pay for iReady-$3500
-
$16,000 to pay for subs for monthly grade level PLC meetings.
The remaining amount goes towards increasing the amount of touchscreen chromebooks and ipads.
After reviewing each goal and expenditures Stacie called for the vote of approval on the SIP/ Trustlands Goals.
All approved and no one objected.
-
Stacie then presented the Title One plan for 2021-2022. The plan and goals are the same as the Trustlands goals and plans.
-
As Stacie finilizes those plans for 2021-2022 she will push them out and require digital signatures and approvals.
-
PIN night has been pushed aside for now due to Stacie’s surgery and the need to do the “Seven Habits for highly effective Families.” Logan Smith is teaching this and it will span several weeks.
-
We will have one last PIN night before summer to end out the year.
