    Utah’s Online School Library

Go to: https://onlinelibrary.uen.org (You will login as a student)

    2022-23

     Login Name: online

    Password: research

(Utah’s Online School Library is a licensed resource, please do not post the login credentials on public websites.)

In the library lessons (grades 1-6) we will focus on:

CultureGrams- Kids Edition is about countries, States Edition focuses on the

    United States.

**6 th grade students will love this resource when they work on their

    country reports.

World Book Online- I recommend that students in grades K-2 use the Kids

version and grades 3+ use the Student version.

eMedia- Educational videos that include Magic School Bus, Reading Rainbow,

Learn to Draw, and other great video series. Search for any topic but I

recommend “Weston Woods,” they are videos that take a picture book then

add animation and music as they read.

In the library lesson with the kindergarten students we focus on:

World Book Online- The Kids version.

Preschool Path- There are many fun educational games for the younger’s to use there.

    FREE eBook and Audiobook Resources

CCSD Collection using Sora (OverDrive for schools) https://soraapp.com/welcome/login/201250

    ·        login using the students username and password that they use at school. If you have any questions about the password please contact their teacher.

    ·        The library collection was created by schools in the district.

There is an app for various device types or you can just use a traditional computer.  To learn how to download the free app go to https://www.overdrive.com/apps/sora/

*There is an additional library collection for Dual Language Immersion students in Utah.  Grades 3-6 have downloaded this onto their libraries in Sora. When in Sora, just click on the three lines in the upper right screen and it will be there along with the Cache County library and others.

I highly recommend that you get a library card at the Cache County Library. It is free to get books there and it also has a digital library with more options if you worry about books getting lost.

Beehive Library Consortium using OverDrive/Libby (through public libraries) https://beehive.overdrive.com/library/kids

    ·        contact your public library for login information. You access this with your library card number and phone number as password.

    ·        this collection is bigger than the CCSD collection but people across the state can use it so some materials may take longer to become available

OverDrive is the same company as Sora; one platform is for schools and the other for public libraries.  This digital library had a name change so you might know it as Utah’s Online Library instead of the BLC name. The URL above will take you to the kids section of the collection but there are sections for teens and adults as well.  For the public library collection they encourage you to use the Libby app.
