2021-2022 Final Trust LAND Report

  • Birch Creek Elementary 2021-2022 Trust Lands Final Report

    Goal #1

    • As a school, by the end of the 2021-2022 school year, 80% of our students will be proficient (80% or higher) on the Spring End of Year Go Math Assessment.

As a school, teachers administered the beginning GoMath Assessment, Chapter Assessments, and the End of Year GoMath Assessment.  The following percentage of students were proficient, scoring 80% or higher, on the End of Year Assessment.

    Kindergarten:  92%
    1st Grade:  95%
    2nd Grade:  95%
    3rd Grade:  93%
    4th Grade:  50%
    5th Grade:  82%
    6th Grade:  47%

As a school, we had 79% of our students score 80% or higher on the End of Year GoMath Assessment.  Unfortunately, we did not meet our goal of 80%.  The data shows the need to alter our instructional strategies in 4th grade and 6th grade.  Personnel adjustments have been made for this current school year.  We have also invited 8 teachers to attend professional development for Math Instruction during the school year.  We have a math facilitator who will be working with the most "at risk" students and grades.

    Goal #2

    • As a school, by the end of the 2021-2022 school year, 85% of our K-4th grade students will demonstrate Proficiency on the Acadience Spring Composite.  80% of our 5th and 6th grade students will demonstrate Proficiency (at grade level or above) on the HMH “Growth Measure” Assessment.

Our students participated in the Acadience Assessment and the HMH Growth Measure Assessment three times during the year.
Students who demonstrated proficiency on the Acadience Composite score at the end of the year are as follows:

    Kindergarten:  58%
    1st Grade:  69%
    2nd Grade:  72%
    3rd Grade:  84%
    4th Grade:  84%

Our 5th and 6th grade students' proficiency (at grade level or above) on the HMH “Growth Measure” Assessment, are as follows.

    5th Grade:  97%
    6th Grade:  91.2%

All of our grade levels made gains from the beginning of the year.  Our lower grades didn't make as much growth as we had hoped.  We did see great growth with our upper grade students.
