It is designed for parents/guardians, teens, tweens (typically middle school-aged children), kids, educators, and law enforcement. This is an excellent resource for all of these groups.The site addresses such issues as blogging, cell phone use, cyber bullying, e-mail/instant messaging/chat rooms, file sharing, gaming, identity theft, inappropriate content, Internet safety, predators, revealing too much, social networking, webcams, etc. There are also excellent interactive games for children regarding how to safely surf the Web. -

This site is managed by the Federal Trade Commission in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. State Department. There is extensive information for parents, students, and educators. It is especially user friendly.The Heads Up Section is excellent, with subsections including Share with Care, Interact with Tact, and the Protection Connection. Topics such as online safety, web surfing, and socializing on the Internet are covered. The Protect Kids Online section is especially good. -
Internet Solution for Kids, Inc.
This is a non-profit research organization. The site is designed for parents and educators. It provides press releases, articles, videos, and other related resources which deal with such topics as bullying and texting, recognizing a cyberbully, technology and kids, etc. -

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, this is nationally one of the most well known websites on bully prevention. It is designed by experts in the field of bully prevention.The site gives numerous suggestions to educators on how to set up an ongoing and effective bully prevention program. The suggestions are practical and based on the research.There is also a separate section designed for children and their parents. It provides appropriate ways to deal with bullies, as well as videos and games related to bully prevention. -

This website is sponsored by Internet Solutions for Kids (please see website description above) and contains information from three national surveys of youth regarding Internet safety. It also contains research from John Hopkins School of Public Health and the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.The entire site is written for and to youth.
