Agenda Topics

  • Review and approve the minutes from the March meeting (Wyatt) 1 minute

  • Review SIP Goals progress (Matt) 5 min
    • Acadience testing in progress so these numbers will be updated as soon as that is finished
  • Review Budget (Matt) 5 min
    • We may be a little over the 10% but only because the summer teaching day funds cannot be used for this school year and will come out at the beginning of the next fiscal year. It all evens out in the end so it will be fine.
    • In the future if we have the funds, we could hire another teacher to make smaller class sizes.
    • Review of class sizes for next year. One thing to note is that one grade is sitting at 34 students per class and if it stays that way the district will approve us hiring another teacher. Another thing to note is that 1 st grade will have 6 separate classes.
    • The 100 that filed for school choice before the deadline were all accepted. The 24 that were turned in after the deadline are on a waitlist and will be informed hopefully before the end of this school year.
  • Report on Amendment (Matt) 5 min
    • The amendment was accepted so we have begun spending that money as allocated which will get us closer to the 10% that is allowed to be carried over to the next year.
  • New member selection process (Matt) 10 min
    • No new parents responded to the email sent so we will continue with the same members as none are leaving.
    • Both staff members will continue next year (Leslie & Jen)
  • Community Council Officers (Wyatt) 10 min
    • Officers will remain the same except for the secretary.
    • Melissa motioned to elect Michelle as secretary for next year
      • 2nd by Aaron -All approved
  • Public Input (Wyatt) 9 min
    • No district fun run again this year
    • Each grade level will do a field day but not as a whole school. They will shoot for that next year.
    • School will continue to release at 2pm next year shortening the day.

Assignements:

  1. Recruit aides for next year. Those who have some college credit will be exempt from the test.
  2. Be thinking of ways to spend money if we ever have excess.
  3. Look out for the email with the final information for the Acadience testing results.
