Mount Logan Middle School’s Community Council meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month from 3:45PM to 4:45 pm in the Media Center Conference Room.

HOW CAN I BE INVOLVED?

The council consists of parents, faculty, and the principal.  Some of the responsibilities of the Community Council are:

  • Develop a school improvement plan and school LAND Trust plan and budget.

  • Review testing data and other reliable data to determine the needs of the students.

  • Advises the school administration on local school issues.

  • Provide an opportunity for issues of concern in the community to be presented to the school administration.

  • Provide education and awareness on safe technology utilization.

  • Assist in the creation of a school safety plan.

All community council meetings are open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend.  The public is allowed to make comments when recognized by the Community Council Chair or presenter.  Only official council members are allowed to vote.

Utah State Law requires all schools to hold an election every year to replace exiting members on the School Community Council. Each member serves a two-year term and may serve more consecutive terms if they are elected. SCC members are elected each fall for the following school year.
