- Completed January 2021
- Current Opportunities:
- ELL student outcomes via oral language strategies.
- Transitioning to a targeted assist school 2021-2022.
- Increasing our expectations for student growth.
- Possible goals should include:
- ELL student English Language Proficiency double according to WIDA scores.
- Professional development on how to provide enrichment and intervention.
- A continuation of ambitious goals for Acadience scores and Math benchmarks.
- Goal 1: Increase the percentage of students at or above benchmark on the Acadience (DIBELS) assessments as a school from beginning of the year to end of the year by:
- 8% for students at benchmark
- 7% for students above benchmark
- 12% for our at benchmark ELL subgroup
- 4% for our above benchmark ELL subgroup.
- Goal 2: All Students at Hillcrest will master their math essentials. Students will be able to master the math facts that align with their CORE content as assigned by their classroom teachers. To ensure that students are in class we want to increase class time for students by helping students to problem solve for themselves. Hillcrest will be able to decrease Refocus Referrals by 50% as compared to our last full year 2018-2019. We will accomplish this by teaching Second Step lessons with fidelity during Tier 1 instruction, Reinforcing Second Step lessons in Refocus and offering tier 3 services for students via a USU psychology internship.
- Goal 3: Hillcrest Elementary will ensure academic support through integration of the arts and mathematics. All Hillcrest students will master their math essentials by June 2022.
- Updates related to COVID-19
