What is LCS Virtual Learning Support and Tutoring?
LCS kicked off a new Virtual Learning Support and Tutoring program in the Spring of 2021 as a way to put some of our federal stimulus dollars to work and continue to serve our current LCS students with the challenges resulting from distance learning. This free program will offer an opportunity to meet virtually with an LCS Alum or LCS certified teacher to support the specific area of academic need. This program is designed to be an on-demand, flexible, and responsive support system. This is not replacing the summer academic program. Teachers and Alumni will respond to the need our parents or students identify and seek support for. For example, a learning session could be dedicated to a specific challenge with a concept in middle school math; it could be a need for help preparing studying for a large physics exam; or it could be simply a need with writing a 4th-grade current events paper, and everything in between.
