24-25 Student Transportation Information

 

Parents...we need your help! Please be sure you have completed the transportation form (regardless of how your child will be getting home) by August 4th. This includes bus riders, car riders, bike riders, and walkers. The form is available in Skyward and must be filled out for both current and new students.  

It’s especially important for bus riders to fill out the Transportation Form to ensure they have access to bus services at the beginning of the school year. To plan accordingly for your student, please review a list of important dates below: 

  • August 4: Deadline to submit the form for students who want to receive bus transportation on the first day of school (Monday, August 12). 
  • August 5 - 21: During this time, if families fill out the Transportation Form requesting bus transportation for a student, then the student will start receiving bus transportation on Monday, August 26. 
  • August 22 or after: During this time, if families fill out the Transportation Form requesting bus transportation for a student, then the student will start receiving bus transportation after five school days.

2024-2025 Beginning of the Year Forms

For the 2024-25 school year, all required Lamar Consolidated ISD beginning-of-year forms must be completed online through the Skyward Family Access Center.

Online forms are available through the Family Access Center starting July 29th and all forms need to be submitted no later than Sept. 13th. Your student’s schedule will not be available online through the Family Access Center until all of the beginning-of-year forms are completed for your student and after the campus has released schedules. Student schedules will be available online on Wednesday, Aug. 07th, if all online forms have been completed.

Instructions, important dates, a username/password reset button, and technical assistance regarding the online forms can be found by clicking here.

For those who need access to a computer or the Internet, computers will be available on campus Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. starting July 30th.

You must complete registration application online at Student Registration .  After completing the registration, you will receive an email informing you how to upload the following documents.

Public Comments on the 2024-2025 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application

ESEA Section 8306(a)(7) and the ESSA Program-Specific Provisions and Assurances require Lamar CISD to receive public comment before the ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application is submitted to the Texas Education Agency.

Lamar CISD intends to apply for the following application(s) for federal grant funds with the Texas Education Agency.

  • Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
  • Title I, Part A – Improving Basic Programs
  • Title I, Part D Subpart 2-- Prevention and Intervention Programs for Children and Youth Who Are Neglected, Delinquent, or At-Risk
  • Title II, Part A – Supporting Effective Instruction
  • Title III, Part A – Supporting LEP and Immigrant Students
  • Title IV, Part A – Student Support and Academic Enrichment

Title III, Part A Title III, Part A funding supports programs for limited English proficient students to attain English proficiency, develop high levels of academic attainment, and meet the state content standards and student achievement standards. $838,805
Title III, Part A (Immigrant) Title III, Part A (Immigrant) funding supports programs to ensure that English learners (ELs) and immigrant students attain English proficiency and develop high levels of academic achievement in English and to assist all English Learners with meeting the same challenging State academic standards that all children are expected to meet. $75,520
 Title IV, Part A Title IV, Part A funding supports programs to improve student academic achievement by providing all students with access to a well-rounded education; improve school conditions for student learning; and improve the use of technology. $312,550

Any member of the community wishing to provide a comment regarding these grant applications is invited to submit comments to Lamar CISD by emailing the Director of Federal Programs, Dr. Marva O’Neal at [email protected].  All comments must be received by Lamar CISD no later than noon on July 11, 2024. Any comments received by this deadline will be considered by Lamar CISD before it submits its grant application.

Título III, Parte A (Inmigrante) El Título III, Parte A (Inmigrantes) respalda programas que garanticen que los estudiantes de inglés (EL) y los estudiantes inmigrantes alcancen el dominio y desarrollo de altos niveles de rendimiento académico del inglés además de ayudar a todos los estudiantes de inglés a cumplir con los mismos estándares académicos estatales exigentes que se espera que cumplan todos los estudiantes. $75,520
