Mrs. Jerri Carpenter

I am so excited about beginning this school year as your child’s 3rd Grade Resource Teacher.

My teaching career began in 1998 when I took my first full time teaching position at Seminole County Elementary School in Donalsonville, GA.  The next year, I began teaching in Dothan City Schools and remained there teaching special education and general education until 2007 when my family moved to Baldwin County, AL.  In Baldwin County, I taught special education at Elberta Elementary until we moved back to Dothan in 2009.  I then returned to Dothan and Hidden Lake Elementary, where I taught 4th and 5th grades until May 2015.

I am actually a graduate of Rehobeth High School, and am so very excited to teach at my alma mater.  I attended Wallace College, where I met my husband, Heath.  I transferred to Troy University Dothan and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s Degree in Special Education.

I am married to Heath Carpenter, and we have two sons.  Matthew is 22 years old and attends the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!!). Dylan is 18 years old and attends Wallace College.  We have a dog, Lincoln, and a cat, Tiger. I enjoy reading, cooking, and watching my boys in their activities.

I absolutely love teaching and am so excited to work with you and your child this year!
