    To receive an Alabama High School Diploma, students must meet all requirements set forth by Houston County Schools. Credits are obtained after the full course is completed.  All students in 2022 cohort must earn a total of 34 credits to include:

    Students seeking an LEA Honors Diploma are required to take honors classes in all core subject areas.

     

    Weighted Credit   

     

    Grade point average is calculated by applying a 1.175 multiplier to the final average in all honors classes.  The multiplier is used only in calculating GPA and is not applied to course grades on transcripts.

    The grading system is based on a 4.0 scale with weighted credit for honors classes.

    A = 90-100

    B = 80-89

    C = 70-79

    D = 60-69

    F = 59-below
