Mrs. Laseter is employed by the Houston County School System. She has been teaching since 2004.

Amanda Laseter was born in Georgia, but moved to Dothan at the age of nine. She considers herself a Dothan native and is a graduate of Dothan High School. She attended Wallace Community College on an academic scholarship. She continued her education at Troy University, Dothan where she received a bachelor degree in elementary education. She is certified for grades kindergarten through sixth grade and is highly qualified.

Mrs. Laseter began her teaching career in 2004 teaching 5th grade at Wicksburg Elementary School. She then transferred to Webb Elementary School, and has since taught multiple grade levels including 6th, 5th, and 3rd. She is currently teaching 5th grade.

Mrs. Laseter has been married to John Laseter since 1998 and has two children. John Quinn and Abigail. She loves being a mommy and teaching children. She also teaches Sunday school to 3rd - 5th graders at Kinsey Baptist Church. Her hobbies include reading, baking, and spending time with her family.
