Welcome to 2^nd Grade!!!

My name is Jessica Barnes, and I hope that your child has a great year in their new classroom for second grade! We plan on learning so much and having FUN while we do it.

I absolutely LOVE seeing my students learn and get excited about it!  

My hope is that by the end of the year each one of my children become more responsible and eager learners.

We have some Class Goals that we are all working toward reaching by the end of the school year.

• Reading 90 words per minute.
• Reaching AR goals each nine weeks.
• Joining 300 Club (2^nd grade sight words)
• Master all addition and subtraction facts.
• Write a paragraph correctly.

You can help us reach these goals by having your child read each night. The more they read, the better they will become in every subject.
