Hopewell Job Fair Hopewell City Public Schools will be participating in the Hopewell job fair on Tuesday, October 10th at the Hopewell Community Center.
Teacher Appreciation Day Teachers will be celebrated on October 5th from 5pm-7pm on Library St in Downtown Hopewell.
Hopewell Police Department Media Release Earlier today, the Hopewell Police Department issued a press release stating that a high school student has been arrested for a recent threatening social media post towards Hopewell High School. We are very appreciative of the great work of the Hopewell Police Department and other agencies and their close collaboration with us throughout this process. Current indications are that this posting was a hoax and was not caused by bullying, as was indicated in the original post. With that said, we do take bullying seriously and will continue to strengthen our efforts to ensure all students are safe and feel cared for in our schools. The Hopewell High School Band Presents: The 5th Annual "Wonder City Classic" Band Competition The Hopewell High School Band program will present its 5th Annual "Wonder City Classic" Band Competition on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at Merner Field. The gates will open at 4:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold for $10 for ages 5 - adult on the GoFan app. A host of high school marching bands will compete for bragging rights. The Virginia State University "Trojan Explosion" will perform in an exhibition along with the Hopewell High School "MBD." You don't want to miss this!

Hopewell City Public Schools Calendar Update At the Thursday, September 14 school board meeting, it was announced that the 2023-2024 instructional calendar will be updated to honor Juneteenth on June 19th rather than June 14th. Additional information will be forthcoming regarding the impact to summer intersession.
