Good Evening, HCPS Families and Friends:
It is with great relief and enthusiasm that I inform you all that I have just received word from our partners at the Virginia Department of Health indicating all test results from Friday's COVID testing event are in. They have begun contacting all participating employees individually by telephone with confidential results. And while we thought the results could take until sometime Monday to come back, we are so very grateful to them for rushing to get them back before we return to school tomorrow.
Collectively, friends, the news is very, very good. While they cannot tell me the exact number, they have shared with me that of the 326 employees tested, "less than five" had positive results. This is less than half of one percentage point positive of the entire sample! They have also assured me that any employee who tested positive WILL be contacted tonight so there is no risk that they will report to work tomorrow and risk further exposure.
